SCANDINAVIAN EMIGRANTS.
WARNED AGAINST THE COLONIES

Swedish newspapers, at the Government's instance, published Count Morner's warnings to emigrants against proceeding to Australia or New Zealand, stating that the difficulties of providing employment were greater than last year. Received Feb. 9, 8.40 a.m. COPENHAGEN, Feb. .8. The Danish Ministry for Foreign Affairs has issued to the newspapers a notice dissuading immigrants from going to Australia and New Zealand, as they say the difficulties of subsistence there have increased considerably.
