THE REV. I. JOLLY.
ACCEPTS THE CALL TO ST. STEPHEN'S.
At a, meeting of the Wanganui Presbytery at Marton yesterday the call from the congregation of St. Stephen's, Ponsonby, Auckland, to the Rev. I. Jolly, of St. Andrew's, Palmerston, was received. Tho 'congregation of St. Andrew's was represented by three commissioners, Messrs J. S. Munro, W. L. Scott and J. Balsillie. Three commissioners were also present from St. Stephen's. It was urged that the Rev. I. Jolly would find much larger scope and a wider sphere in Auckland.
The rev. gentleman intimated his acceptance of the call, and he will bo inducted to his new charge on M*arch 4. He will preach his farewell sermon in Palmorston on Sunday next.
The congregation of St. Andrew's has arranged to entertain Mr Jolly at a farewell social on Monday evening next in the Municipal Hall.
