Owners and trainers are finally remind; j ed that acceptances for the Taranaki meeting and entries for the Hack ana Final Scurry close with the secretary, Mr E. P. Webster, at 10 o'clock to-night. At a meeting of the committee of the Waipukurau Jockey Club Mr Gaisford was elected judge, -Mr J. E. Henrys, was appointed handicapped and Mr. A. Wood is to be offered the position. of starter. J. McLaughlin appealed to the Hawke's Bay Metropolitan Committee against' the fine of £10 imposed by the Dannevirke Racing Club for not running Full Cry in the second start for the Waikopiro Hurdle Race. —Resolved_ that the appeal was not received within 14 days as provided by rule 8, part 31, Rules of Racing; that under rule 9, part 31. the Committee has the right to review the decision of the stewards of the Dannevirke Racing Club, _ and considers that they were in error in imposing a ■fine of £10, and orders a refund of the fine to be made to McLaughlin.
