FIVE NAPIER COUNCILLORS TO . RESIGN. (Pes Pbess Association.) NAPIER, Feb. 7. The Borough Solicitor has advised the Mayor that five Councillors, in addition to Councillor Thomson, namely, Councillors Crowley, A. J. Williams, Eagleton, Widestrom, and K. Beecham, have rendered their seats vacant by reason of exceeding" the legal limitation, in the matter of supplies to the Corporation. Hence the Council will be in the- remarkable position of having no. quorum until the vacancies are filled by the process of election.
