A resolution recommending that each local authority affected should take the possibility of" the whole of WaikareMoana's electrical power scheme into its favourable consideration. was passed at a conference of the joint committees of the Borough Councils of Gisborne, Wairoa, Hastings and Napier. The scheme provides for the establishment of a joint hydro-electric generating station at Wai-kare-Moana.
