{Peb Press Association.! \VANGANUI, Dec. 1. Further evidence of the reticence imposed upon Government servants by the recent circular by Cabinet was found in the refusal of. the local registrar to supply details of vital statistics which hitherto have always been open to the press and are now only available in the Registrar-Gen-eral's returns when months have elapsed.
A Herald reporter who was visiting Moumahaki State farm yesterday, to obtain information concerning the experimental work carried on and likely to be of interest to farmers and others, was also refused information on account of the circular.
WELLINGTON, Dec. 2. In reference to.the Wanganui telegram enquiries by a Poet reporter show that instructions have been issued by the Registrar-General's office to the various district Registrars to supply the papers with these statistics each month. The Wanganui Registrar apparently liad not received his instructions when the request was made to him.
