THE WAIPA COALFIELDS.
A party of prominent Palmerstonians who are interested in the production of coal purpose making a visit to Waipa coal fields, near Ngarua*iVahia, Auckland Province, on Saturday next. The party will leave Palmerston North on Saturday afternoon by the Main Trunk express, arriving at their destination on Sunday morning. The new fields, which are about to be opened up, will be thoroughly inspected. The trip promises to be a most interesting one, as the representative of the Company and owners is making arrangements with a view to that end. Anyone interested in coal production or persons who would like to inspect the fields are invited to communicate with either Mr J. A. Nash or Mr F. Lawrenson. care of the Grand Hotel.
