FOOTBALL.

About twenty enthusiastic youths attended he meeting called by the Kia Toa Club last evening for the purpose of discussing the advisability of forming a Fourth Class team. The meeting unanimously favoured the proposal, and all present handed in their names as members of the Chub. Several other youths, unable to attend signified their willingness and intention of becoming members; so everything points to the result of the agitation being eminently successful. Rush was elected captain, C. Ross vice-captain, who, together with A. Bowling, will form a selection committee. The first practice of the team will be held on the Pascal Street ground on Saturday afternoon, when ,all members and intending members are requested to be in attendance at 3 o'clock sharp. All members of the Kia Toa Football Club aro reminded of the General Meeting to be held at the Cafe de Paris Hotel to-morrow night at 7.30 o'clock, when, in addition to other important business, the new bylaws of the Club will come up for adoption.'
