The borough election is the chief topic of conversation here just now, and this election will be a most interesting one as there is a good remount of rivalry among those who are standing for municipal honours. The ratepayers will have an exceptionally good choice presented to them. There are a number of important works on hand just now, and in consequence the present Councillors who are offering themselves for reelection will most likely 'be returned, as they have the advantage of being thoroughly well acquainted with the works on hand. Seven model yachts entered for the model, yacht race on the Horowhenua Lake List Saturday, but only one boat .completed the course, owing to the light wind. This was Master Willie Clark's now yacht.
