McKenna, in reply to questions in the House of Commons, admitted that there Avas not a single dry dock on the East Coast of Britain Avhere a Dreadnought could enter if it was draAving more Avater than usual owing to some of the Avater-tight compartments being flooded. There Avere five docks in Germany with this capacity. He added that the Government" Avas considering the construction of floating docks on the East Coast.
