FOOTBALL.
Two matches which should be decidedly interesting to the public will take place in Palmerston during the Easter holidays. On Saturday afternoon the Orientals, (Wellington) will meet the Pajmerston Club, and on Easter Monday the Old Boys play Levin. Both matches will be played on the showground a strong team is coming from the Empire City, including F. Roberts, Tarcoe, McLeod, and Mathieson, so that a good game is in store. This being the first match of the season, there should be a good attendance of football-lovers. Mr A. Payne left for New Plymouth to-day to attend the annual meeting of the N.Z. Referees' Association commencing on Good Friday. The following will represent the Palm'erston "Club in the match against Orientals on Saturday: —Clark, Eglinton, Briscoe, Martis, Downes, Gibbons, Skelley, Brough, Kyle, Buick, Peed, Harkness, Stewart. All members are. requested to roll up for practice at Pascal street ground at 10 o'clock to-morrow morning-
