Nearly all sections showed improvement, .'both in numbers and quality of exhibits. . ■■''.'.'■ Collarit carried off first and champion prizes in the thoroughbred stallions classes. ... ■ Caffrey and Murphy (New Zealand) secured the bulk of the awards an the Clydesdale sections: In the heavy class stallions they were awarded first for two-year-olds with Patrician, and first under two year 3. In'mares, heavy, four- :years, they took first and champion with Kate, and in the active class, three years,, first with ■ Minneliaha. In the ;h;eavy class • for mares, two years, John Small took first and Caffrey and Murphy second.
