Palmerston North, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, MarcK 27, a number o£ leasehold properties in Palmerston, on behalf of the .Wellington College and Girls' High School. Particulars are advertised. Harry Palmer has been instructed to sell Mr W. Davis' household furniture and effects at the residence, 38, Church street (near Opera Houee), on Wednesday, commencing at 1 o'clock. To-morrow, commencing at 1 p.m.,. Mouneey and Co. will hold an unreserved sale of dairy cows, pigs, poultry, and furniture on behalf of Mrs Williamson, at her farm, Park road West. The cows and pigs are a particularly good and the furniture comprises several articles useful to householders and those furnishing. The sale should 'be well attended, as there are several lines most suitable, and all will ..be sold to the best advantage. A. T. Canterbury, which ,is offering in moderate quantities, is quoted at 3|d, North Island 3d, Australian 2|d. The lamb market is very dull, --the weather lately having been unfavourable to the sale of lamb. This'season's.'Canterbury lamb is quoted at-sgd,''other than Canterbury 4|d, Australian 3|d. There is. a large supply. of : home killed mutton, and it affects the market. The beef market is steady, New Zealand beef .being pushed for sale. The butter market is quiet, with small business doing. Some.holders are forc : , ing sales. The demand . is"' chiefly _ for high grade unsalted butter. • Choicest New Zealand brajtds are quoted at 106s, Danish- 115s, Australian 103, Siberian 103s, Argentine 105s. The cheese mar r ket remains firm. Coloured makes are quoted at 645, white, makes 60s per cwt. The hemp market closed weak, with a lower tendency in prices. Current quotations: Good fair grade on spot £25 10s, fair grade on spot. £21 15s, fair current Manila on spot £23; April-June shipments, good fair', grade £23 ss, fair grade £21 10s, fair current Manila £22.
