THE' YATES FEATHERS,
The Yates Feathers returned to Feilding on Saturday, being captured from the Balmerston Cliib by a-4eam from the former town comprising Irvine, Manning, Stewart, -and Saywell (skip). Of the holders A. • Pickering, N. H. Nash, and Drew were unable to play, and their positions were filled by Sollitt, Tasker, and J. Nash. The game was stubbornly contested, and the scoring was in consequence light. After a good fight Feilding won by two-points, r the-scores' bein^:'—Feilding. 17, Palmerston.'ls. In, addition to the match with Pahiatua, the holders'of the DixonCup have received challenges from Marton and Feilding Clubs. Shannon also intends to issue another challenge. Torstonsen and Payne defeated Dixon and J. Smith for the Tasker Badges on Saturday afternoon.
