THE SENIOR GAME

Feilding's win last Saturday from Old Boys prolonged the Barraud Cup contest another stage, , and if the country team is successlul in defeating United in the present game, the final 'will be played off between Old Boys and Feilding. Saturday's game was played at Feilding, and ivas not a very spectacular display. United batted first, and only managed to scrape together 36 runs, Gibbons 10, and O'Connor 9, being the top scorers. Bartholomew was the destructive agent, getting the splendid average of 7 wickets for 13, while Gobbe got 2 for 21. Feilding responded with 87, Trevena 21, Brennan 14, Power 20, and _ Cobbe (not out) 18, being the principal Bartlett's average was 6 for 45, while Wells secured 3 for 26, and Gibbons 1 for 11. JUNIORS. OLD BOYS v."~HIGH SCHOOL. This game provided quite an exciting finish. Old Boys in their first innings compiled 103, and High School scoring 61 in their second venture, lel't their opponents only 40 to get to win. In the School matches on Saturday, High School B defeated College Street Aby 79 to 76. For the former W. Coombes made 19, L. Luxford 3/, and Sutton 24, while for College Street C Jewell made 31 and C. Dave 13.

MANAWATU CRICKET ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the above Association was held on Saturday evening, Mr C. H. Warden presiding. The secretary stated he had received word that in all probability Wellington would play a two days' match with Palmerston, starting on Friday week, March 13th.

A team is to be sent to Horowhenua oil the 20th March, and Rangitikei will be played at Palmerston <on the 27th. Next Saturday a game is to be played here against the Foxton Association. It was decided to play another oneinnings round m the junior competi-
