South Australian stocks rose one per cent on Friday afternoon on tho announcement that, a new loan was to.be issued through the usual channels, the issue not being expected till after the summer holidays. Mr Price was undecided till then, but the underwriting for the entire amount was completed on Friday. Mr Jenkins denies the City rumour that strained relations between himself and t.ho Premier (Mr Price) induced Mr Jenkins to go to Lisbon and that Mr Price in the meantime arranged the loan with Lloyd's bank. Mr Jenkins declares that their relations were most, harmonious;, especially on the question of finance, as shown by the letter from Mr Price at Florence, referring to Mr Price's official telegrams to the Treasurer.
