A YOUTHFUL TRAIN-WRECKER.
Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, March 27. Adam Middlemisa, aged fifteen, was charged with placing an obstruction on tho Kingston railway line. Fortunately the train was going up a hill at the time, and the driver was able to pull up, but not before the engine passed over one piece of iron. The Magistrate said it was no use sending the boy to gaol, and ho was too old for tho'industrial school. He ordered him to. receive twelve strokes of the birch rod.
