ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

Per Pr<?s« Association. GISBORNE, March 25. A man named Thomas Rogers was drowned in the Hangaroa river near Tiniroto. Deceased, in company with Edgar Wallace, a sheep farmer, of Tiniroto, was crossing the river, which was in a state of flood, when, his horso got carried away, and the unfortunate man was washed off and drowned. The bodv has not been recovered.
