ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

Per Press Association. WAIROA, March 24. The body of the man found on the foreshore of tlio Wairoa river oil Friday has been identified as that of Edward Maryott, an Australian, with a wifo and daughter in Australia. The evidence showed that ho had been drinking and on the evening of his death bought methylated spirits. Ho seems to have been under the bridge all night during the storm, became stupid, and was unable to get away from the rising flood waters. A verdict to this effect was returned. Daly ilevington, of the Tost Office Hotel, was found dead in bed by his son yesterday. Deceased had been feeling unwell during the. day, and at threo o'clock went to his bedroom to take a sleep. At five o'clock his son went to call him and found him dead. Deceased was highly respected and esteemed. He was well known throughout the Dominion. He leaves a widow and two sons. WESTPORT, March 24. William James Killen was accidentally killed in a sluicing claim at Dee Creek, Three Channel Flat. He was 37 years of ago and the only son of Mr and Mrs Richard Killen, of Addison's. Deceased was employed in the tail-race when a fall of stones occurrcd, pinning him down and instantly killing him.
