TE ORANGA HOME.
THE INQUIRY CONTINUED. CHRISTCIIURCH, March 22. Tho To Oranga Homo inquiry was continued yesterday, when Mr T. I. Smaill, lay evangelist, who has made a practice of visiting the Homo regularly since its inception, gave evidence, lie stated that it was one of tho bestmanaged institutions in the Dominion, and was doing excellent, work under tho caro o£ Mrs Branting, who always watched over the inmates with motherly care. In regard to classification, ho thought that the first step necessary was the provision of some kind of receiving building; a place where now arrivals could bo plaocd and whence they could bo drafted into the higher classes according to conduct. This portion should bo under tho control of an assistant of kindly disposition, and one who had a real iove for tho work. The girls should bo cncouraged to lead a better life, and every inducement should bo offered to graduato to tho highest class in the institution.
