GALE AT SUVA.
(By Electric Telearrapji—Copyright.) Per Press Association. (Received March 24, 9 a.m.) SUVA, March 24. A heavy gale occurred last night. The steamer Sangola, which arrived from India on the 18th inst. with 1150 coolies, was driven ashore with some large lighters loaded with Indian cargo which were alongside. Many small craft were wrecked. Houses and balconies were wrecked. ' . The Levuka cable 'is interrupted, and there is no country news. The Marama, bound for Vancouver, was detained, but departed at 6 a.m. to-day. (Received March 24, 11.30 a.m.) SUVA, March 24. The Sangola has been refloated. The banana plantations were greatly damaged.
