THE WEATHER.
Per Press Association. CHRTSTCHURCH, March 24. Rain more or less heavy has been experienced daily since Thursday last, with but few glimpses of sunshine. The rain has had-a very .salutary effect on vegetation of every kind. Country reports arc jubilant- over the change in the weather, both pastures and feed crops showing an improvement. It is raining again this morning, with sky showing dense clouds. There has been no rain till now of any consequence since October. Captain Echvin wires to-day as follows : — Eas'erly strong winds to gale; rain probable: glass fall.
