One mile and a half. 2.—MAIDEN HACK RACE, of 60 sovs; second horse to receive 5 sovs from the stake. For horses that have never won a race of greater value than £20 at time of starting. Weight-for-age. Entrance 20s. Five furlongs. 3.—OPAWA HACK WELTER, of 70 sovs; second horse to receive 10 sevs from the stake. Nomination 20s. Acceptance 20s. Seven furlongs. 4.—MARLBOROUGH CUP (open), of 200 sovs; sccond horse to reccivc 20 sovs and third horse 10 sovs from the stake. Nomination 20s. Acceptance 40s. Penalties.—Flat Races: The winner of any flat race after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of 71b, & n d of any additional race or races a further penalty of 51b. Hurdles: The winner of any hurdle race after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of 101b, and for any additional hurdle race 71b extra. . Definition of a Hack. —A hack is a horse that has not won a race of the value of 100 sovs, or races of the collective value of 250 sovs, up to date of nomination.
