STOESSEL'S FATE.

IMPRISONED IN A FORTRESS,

General Stocssel has surrendered, and has been placed in the barred cell of St. Peter and St. Paul at St. Petersburg. The cell is 19 feet square and adjoins that in which Admiral Niebogatoif is incarcerated.

General Stocssel was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment in a fortress. Admiral Niebagatoff commanded a squadron of the Russian navy at the battle of Tsushima. At a critical period he drew his ships out of action and attempted to escape to the south, but most of. his vessel's were captured.
