A movement is on foot among the Arawa natives nt Rotorua. to hold nn exhibition in Wellington some time next session, by means of which they will show the progress of the Maori race since the coming of the white man. There will be exhibits to recall their barbarous state in the days when the native alone trod tho wilds, and the gradual stages oi advancement in arts, scholarship, agriculture, and civilisation generally. Mr Nfirnta. M.P., and the Rev. F. Bennett, of Rotorua, are promoting the exhibition.
