Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., in an advertisement published elsewhere, asks all those bringing or sending in stock to have them yarded not later than 11 o'clock, as they will, from and after June 20th, 1907, commence their Palmerston N. sale at 11.30 o'clock.

At Rongotea on Monday next, at 1 p.m.. the Manawatu Auctioneering Co. will sell by public auction 22 dairy cows and 2 heifers, on behalf Mr James Chrystall, and at his farmstead, Hickford's Line. The firm announce that early outside entries will be accepted. RECENT STOCK SALES. (Special to "Standard.") FEILDING, June 10. Gorton and Son report that at Feilding, on Friday, they had a good yarding of both sheep and cattle. Forward wethers and good breeding ewes sold well, but competition for other sorts was not keen. They quote —superior two-tooth ewes in lamb 265, mixed age ewes in lamb 14s .3d to 16s, one pen 18s, fat and forward wethers (real good line) 19s 4d, forward ewes and wethers 17s, 10s, fat ewes 16s 6d, store ewes 10s 9d, wether lambs 12s 6d, mixed lambs (small) 10s 2d to 10s 9d, culls 7s 3d. Cattle:— heifers 28s 6d, fat heifers £3 to £3 15s, fat cows £4; 10s, store cows 26s to £2, springing heifers £3 to £3 10s. spring cows £3. Mr Koberstein's sale on Saturday was well attended by buyers, both local and from a distance, and a firstclass sale resulted. The cows were a grand line, and realised from £3 15s to £11 ss, with an average of £6 5s 4d over the herd of 55 cows. Quota-tions:—-ewe lambs 14s 9d, sows in pig £3 17s 6d to £4 10s, porkers 15s to 16s, slips 6s, weaners 4s 9d to 7s, p.b. weaners 10s to 15s; unbroken 3-year geldings £30, crippled 2-year draught £6 10s, boy's pony £6, spring heifers £4, bulls 35s to £2 12s 6d. Poultry and sundries went at full rates.

The Department of Industries and Commerce received a cable from the High Commissioner, dated June Bth, as follows: —The upward movement in the mutton market seems to -be arrested. Only small stocks of Canterbury are on hand, and there is no change in price to report. The lamb market is steady, and a good demand continues. Prices are firm and unchanged. The beef market remains firm and supplies are decreasing. Hindquarters 4d, forequarters 3jd. The butter market is steady with a good demand for choicest brands. Choicest New Zealand 99s per cwt. The cheese market is quiet, and prices are slightly weaker. White manufacture 665, coloured 645. The hemp market is quiet, and only small business is doing. Only a small quantity of godd fair grade is on hand, but there is no change in the price since last week. The cocksfoot seed market is quiet with small business doing.
