ARBITRATION ACT.
ITS REPEAL DEMANDED
Press Association.l
MASTERTON, June 10.
The Masterton employers are signing a petition to Parliament to repeal the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act or to so amend it that in the country districts it shall be made permissive, the enforcement or repeal of its provisions being dependent on the vote of the tradesmen and workers concerned. The petitioners contend that labour union agents from the cities continually stir up strife, in the country districts, making demands on country industries which, if acceded to, would ruin them.
