The Anarchists let loose an unguarded engine to collide at Sebastopool with an express carrying the Grand Duke Constantine. An accident was prevented by an engine driver, who jumped on the engine. During the hearing of a suit to compel the Christian Science officials to- render accounts, it was elicited | that £20,000 sterling has disappeared a few days before the ment of trustees. Mrs Eddy's family ignore the trustees. The . suit is proceeding. A fire occurred at Long Branch, New Jersey, at the summer residence of Walter Schiffer, a. wealthy cigar manufacturer. He and his wife, in trying to rescue others sleeping in the house, sustained terrible injuries. Two of their daughters and two servants and a governess were burnt to death. LONDON, June 2.
