Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, May 11. The Dunedin prison officials have presented Mr Arnold with a silvermounted dressing case in recognition of his efforts to have the hours of the warders reduced, and the number off duty on Saturdays and Sundays increased, and in obtaining an additional house allowance. It was stated that the prison officers throughout New Zealand recognised in Mr Arnold the best friend they had ever had in Parliament. The drought continues. Since the beginning of the year less than five inches of rain has fallen. WELLINGTON, May 11. The warships Powerful, Prometheus, Encounter and Pioneer sailed for Auckland at 9.20 this morning.
