RONGOTEA TOWN BOARD.

(From our own Correspondent.) A special and ordinary meeting of the above Board was held on Tuesday evening and adjourned till Thursday evening, Commissioners Penney, Wilson, liodgers and Hickford being present. The special business was to consider the balance-sheet for year ended 31st March last. The sheet as presented was pissed. On the application of Mr Teaz at adjourned meeting for permission to erect a fence further along Witham Street beyond Mr Glover's sections, permission was granted conditional on such fence being removed at anytime on receipt of seven days 7 > <">- tice.

The Foxton Borough Council wrote requesting immediate payme.it of the Board's share of licensing expenses for year 1905-6, and threatening proceedings if not paid promptly. The account was passed for payment.
