The coroner's jury brought in a verdict of suicide while of unsound mind in the case ol Thomas Meyers, chief officer of the Kanieri, whose body was found in the harbour yes. terday. The pockets of the clothes on the corpse were filled with stones. WANG AN UI. Jan. 30. At the Police Court this morning. William Burns was committed for trial at the next sittings of the Supreme Court, Wanganui. on a charge of assaulting Daniel Griffin with intent to rob.
