(By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Per Press Association.
Received January 30th, 9.51 a.in LONDON, Jan. 29.
The police evidence at the inquest on Mr Whiteley pointed to blackmail on the part of Rayner, the murderer.
George Ravner, a solicitor, explains that Whiteley knew two sisters named Emily and Louise Turner. Rayner visited Emily Turner, but doubted that lie was the father of her son, who shot Whiteley last week. He agreed, however, to bring up and ■educate the child, and kept his promise.
