« A team of ladies from the Darmevirke Golf Club visited Palmersion yesterday and played a match with the representatives of the local club. Tho former suf fered rather a severe defeat TheHokowhitu links were in excellent order. The results were as follows:—Mrß Mellsop beat Miss Knight, Mrs Moore beat Mrs Baddeley, Mrs Seiforfc beat Mrs Robertson, Miss McLennan beat Miss Pettit, Miss Abraham beat Miss Young, Mrs Strang beat Mrs Gurr, Mrs Innes beat Mrs Lowford, Mrs Warburton beat Mrs Russell, Mrs Porrit and Mrs Cowper all square, Miss Porter beat Mrs Wright. To-morrow afternoon a bogey competition against last year's bogey will be played on the Hokowhita links. Pairs have been drawn as follows:—Seniors : Mrs Moore and Mrs Freeth, Miss MacLennan and Mrs Seifert, Mrs Million and Mrs Warburton, Mrs Mellsop and Miss Porter, Mrs Innes and Miss Abraham, Miss Slack and Mrs Jamieson, Mrs Porrit t and Mrs Strang, Mrs Wilßon a bye.
