The Magic Kettle.
Mr Geo. Stephenson's New Company;
So much has been heard of the remarkable properties of liquid air that the visit to Palmerston of Professor Andrews, who is to exhibit it! here for the first time and give practical demonstrations of what can be.done with the substance, is being looked forward to with considerable interest. When Mr Andrews first appeared in his novel entertaiament at? the Palace Theatre, London, he created a sensation by his wizard-like performances and the strange phenomena produced with the aid of his magic kettle. Many of his feats seemed to imply a contradiction of nature's laws, such as boiling his kettle on ice and other equally strange achievements, which lent to the operations an air of mystery that not only created astonishment and wonder but was productive of genuine interest and undoubted entertainment. In addition to the marvels of the magic kettle, the management announce the appearance of a very strong combination of artists in a refined and varied programme. The list includes the famous English Pierrot entertainers, who are quite new to New Zealand, having only recently arrived from London; also the higblytrained Trinity Boys' Choir; Alma, the Court Magician; Elsa Dwyer, soprano; Elsie B. Peerless, lyric artist; Mr J.N. Gehde, Mr_F. H. Stokes, and others. The season is limited to two nights: at the Municipal Opera House, viz., next Friday and Saturday. The box plan is now open at-Mr W. Park's, and already the demand for seats has set- iv. . "
