.Autumn H-ick —Anr*tuß 1, Shrapnel Sbed 2, CaDhie Cbiel 3 Also ran: Ghoorka, Exhioor, Rapids and Hydrant. Auratus got a broak on at the start and was never a^ain headol, winning comfortably by three lengths. Time, 2min 14 3-58*ec. Divs, £6 6s and £5 12*.

BelmontHack Handicap—D-clination 1, Maui 2, Aotea 3. Abo i»n: Coxswain, Matakokiri, Hukaaka, Putun.-i, T« j£ainui. Coxswain got bung up in the tapes and took no part in the race. Declination got well away and won by thre^ lengths. Time, lmin 20sec. Divs ,£6 9s and £1.
