The performances of " The Guvnor " at the Lyceum Theatre this week under the distingui-hed patronage of Lord Plunket, will commence to-morrow evening. This company can boast of the unique distinction of being the first theatrical organisation to be honored by the patronage of a Governor of the Colony m our town, no other theatrical performance having received that favour here. The box plan is vow open at Park's. To-morrow evening, prior to the performance, the Municipal Band will play in front of the Lyceum, and on Wednesnay night the Palmerston North Brass and Reed Band will render selections in front of the theatre.
