Germans Desire a Concession.
(By, Electrio Telegraph—Copyright). .(Per Presß Association). (Eeceived Oct. 24, at 9.5 a.m.)' , BEELIN, Oct. 23. Owing to the difficulty of disembarking troops at Swako'pmund,. the German press suggest that Britain should be asked to permit the use of Walfisch Bay for military purposes.
Note.—Walfisch Bay, on the West Coast of Africa, was annexed to Cape Colony in 1884. It is surrounded by German Damaraland, and the bay affords a safe anchorage. " The Germans are at. , war with the aboriginal natives of Damaraland, and are sending further troops to quell the rising, hence the desire to use Walfisch Bay for military purposes. ■ ■ "
