FLEMINGTON, This day. Canteen was sent 13 furlongs, which was traversed in 2mins 57secs. Emir and Sweet Nell went a mile and a-half in 2mins 45secs. Sylvanite and F.J.A. did 10 furlongs in 2mins 18secs. Demas registered a similar task. Gladsome went 11 furlongs in 2mins 35secs, while Tartan did a similar distance in 2mins 30£secs.
Sojourner went two miles in 3mins 46secs, Sport Royal two miles in. 3min 48secs, St. Ambrose a mile and a-half in 2mins 45£secs, Marmont and Falkirk thirteen furlongs in 2mins 59secs, Merrion and Mario a mile and a half in 2mins 44secs.
Wairiki did useful work.
There is no change in Cup betting. Derby: -2to 1 against Sylvanite; 3- to 1 Demas. ;- •
