"SHEAR." MEElT.—Last year a sheep shear named the " Huia " pattern was introduced to this district and met with unprecedented favour and demand. This "pattern was suggested by some bf the best known " ringers ". in the country and further improvements were sug-' gested by them, notably "narrow grip-" and "wider opening." These have been faithfully carried out by the manufacturers and the "shear" now stands preeminent above all others.
