At the inquest on Thomas Sleeman, horse trainer, found dead-in bed .at the Albion Hotel! the medical' evidence.was> to the' effect that the organs' were healthy, and the;: man. was apparently, suffocated. There was no sign of violence, but a witness stated ; that deceased had been depressed lately. -A verdict of " found suffocated " was returned. •

J. M. Heywood,, head of the. wellknown forwarding firm of Heywood and Co.i and a very old settler, died' to-day.
