The North Island Bacon Company.
(To the Editor)
Sir,—For same time past I have been reading, your different correspondents' letters ' dealing witi* • the North' Island Bacon Company, and as one interested I must say that the reply elicited from the managing, director (Mr Anderson) to the ciiiestion_ asked him in your previous isr sue is, to, say the least .very evasive. The directors appear, to be wearing their thinking caps, but how much i longer are they., going to wear jthem? I, like '■' Nil Desperandiim/' am of opinion that the removal ,o£ the -works to Pafmersrton should ,1)6 gone on with once. I ask, .what is the use Sofa bacon factory' at Woodville -to ' Palmerston ? If' the shareholders are not going to be allowed the opportunity of meeting and ■discussing! the matter .at once then a meeting of our "townspeople and coiintry friends • should be held straight away to discuss the advisability of starting another factory hero.—l am, etc., '•• " ■ ••'•'.:. -INTERESTED..
