At last night's meeting of the Domain Board, it was decided to accept the offer of Mr W. J. Cornford for the right to graze sheep on a portion of the Domain. The question of tree-planting, both by the Domain and Cemetery Boards, will be discussed at the next meeting. The ladies committee of the "November Band Bazaar" held a meeting on Wednesday afternoon, when many offers of assistance were received, and accepted with thanks. About £7 was expended in material to be made up, and altogether the committee made such a commencement as is bound to result in the bazaar being a huge success. The members of the band intend to sec* ond the efforts of the ladies' committee by doing a real goodt hustle m the interest of the bazaar and instrument fund. It is understood the band will be entered for the marching competition to take place in Palmerston,at the end of the season.

Improvements have, also, been made whereby the pulling of a lever on this side of the-river rings a bell in the ferryt man's house on the other side, and does away with the necessity, as in -the past, of shouting one-self hoarse.
