(Per Press Association). HAAVERA, May 19. At the Farmers' Conference today resolutions were passed urging that the Noxious Weeds Act be^eifforccd on Crown and native lands ; that raw bones, containing anthrax germs, should not be imported ; that as each provincial Mutual Fire Insurance Association is formed it should amalgamate with other •Associations, to allow' of the establishment of a general fund or the distribution of risks ; th a f the Workers Compensation Act be repealed where it affects farmers ; that when I lie rural Crown lands are opened selectors should have the choice of tenure, and that all Crown tenants have the right to acquire the freehold ; that the immigration of persons to settle on waste lands be encouraged ; that the endeavour to obtain the right to secure the freehold by the tenants under the Settlements Reserve Act be strenuously continued; that the law be altered to allow of appeals against decisions oi Land Boards.
