Hockey.
The hockey matches were well attended yesterday. Four senior and two junior matches were played. _ Old Bojs v. Methodist? The Methodist representatives were defeated by 4 to 1, after an evenly contested, game. Mr Bunting refereed.
Old Boys A v. Palmerston This matoh was looked on to provide an exciting struggle, but Palmerston had to play with n_en short and also to put on substitutes. The result was—Old Bojs, 6; Palmerston, 0. Mr Warden refereed. Midland v. Pioneer B.—Pioneer wont under to the tune of 6. to nil. Mr Goodger refereed, . j Horowhenua v. Pioneer A.—Horo- i whenua won by the narrow margin of 1 to nil. Mr Wingate refereed. Junior.—Old Boys II beat Midland II by 2 to 1; High School beat Camp-bell-street School by 4 to 1.
