THE ROAD SWEEPER.

(To The Editor.)

Sir,—"What have the Rangitikei-st. business people done to suffer this terrible punishment ? Last night, a lady, crossing by Messrs Barraud and Abraham's was seen to be struggling through a mud hole, with mud up to her knees almost, the result being that her dress was covered in mud from head to foot, and completely spoilt Hoping this will soften the heart of the Council, and that they will see their way for the sweeper to extend its patronage to Rangitikei street.—l am, etc.,
