A Wife' Vengeance.

At Susa, iv Tunis, the trial of the tiro Charnbaas who are charged with the murder of the Marquis de Mor&i is proceeding. Few more pathetic episodes can be imagined than the silent persistence with which the wife of the murdered Marquis de Mores has followed the assassins of her husband.

He was a rabid anti-Semite, and it is supposed that his death was brought about by nativo chieftains in the pay of the officials of Algeria and Tunis. It is the Marquise dc Mores' belief that her husband was induced by preconcerted plans to ti>ke back his camel drivers, wh. would have been a safeguard against attack. The reputed assassins cf the Marquise de Mores wero arrested four years ago, as the resu't of a confession made to a native priest, who then gave information to tho French Government. This priest has since died in an expedition. The Marquise was attacked by members of the Chambaa tribe, and, though wounded with sword thrusts, he reached a rock, and kept the foo al bay for two hours. Finally, he was despatched by a shot in the back.
