Wedding.
— o A wedding in which considerable mleiest was tnken, tho parties being both popular local residents, took place this morning, when Mr B. Bowater, second son of Mrs M Bowater, was united in tho holy bonds of matrimony to Miss E. Lucas, second daughter of Mr J. Lucas, of the local railway department. The ceremony was performed at the house of the bridegroom's mother, by tho Rev Father Tymons. The bride, who was becomini'ly attired in cream silk, trimmed with white chiffon, was atteiuled by Misses J. Lucas, E. Bowater and J. Walsh as bridesmaids. She was given away by her father. Mr J." Lucas, jnr., acted as best man and Mr E Bowater as groomsman. This afternoon wedding breakfast was served, at which there were a large number of gue.ts. The happy couple left by the evening traiu for Wellington, where tire honeymoon will be spent. The brido's travelling dress was a handsome navy blue costume, trimmed with white silk. The valuable presents received by Mr and Mrs Bowater show their great popularity. Mr Bowater's tellow-employees at Mr Pigden's factory presented him with several useful articles last night.
