There was a fair attendance of the Palmerston North Eifles for tho ordinary company parads last evening, when Lieutenant Perrin was in command and some good work wbs put in.

The return visit of the Druids, to contost a series of indoor games with the Rifles, which was to have taken place on Thursday eyening next, has been indefinitely postponed to enable.tho Eifles to finish tho various tournaments now in hand before the end of the month.

To-morrow the Government Armourer will arrive in Palmerston to make an inspection of the rifles and bayonets now on issue to the local corps. The Guards' arms will be inspected tomorrow, and must be handed in. by 8 o'clock to-night. The members of "the Rifles hare been ordered to hand in their rifles and bayonets on Thursday night.
