A deputation consisting of Me3Brs F. -Irani, M,HB„ W. T. Wood, W. L. Luxford, H. Haydon, O. Moeller, A. E. Bogsoll, T. B. Hodder, B. S. Abraham and Captain Proece, waited on Sir Joßeph Ward this morning in regard to the Palmerston Post Office and railway goods shod. Messrs Wood, Cohen and Haydon pointed out the necessity for those requirements being attended to and Mr Pirani said Sir Joseph Ward had given him .bis orivate assurance that provision would be made for a brick post office to ocqommod-te other departments this session.

In reply, Sir Josoph Ward said tho erection of a now Po3t Office had been engaging his attension for somo lime pa. Ho quite rcoogn'sed tho necessity stfor p now building to moot the requirements ol the district and in eonsidoring lho Public Works Estimates Cabinet would have a yoto for that, purpoeo brought beforo them. In regard to tho goods shed, it bad been decided Ito alter the yards and erect tho necessary conveniences and a votu would bo asked for for that purpose.
