Golf Notes.

The ladies of tho Wanganui Golf Club have arranged to send a team down to Palmerston on Thursday, 31st inst. They are hoping to bring 13, and now it rests with the local lady players to wipe out the crushing defeat sustained by lho "Adams " of tho Manawatu Club at ihe hands of the Wanganui Club last Saturday week. Thero will be a meeting of tho lady members of tho Golf Club at Miss Wilson's tea rooms at four o'clock to-morrow afternoon to make all arrangements for the match. Every member who can possibly attend is requested to do so. On Saturday next the long poitponed eaptain'i medal for July will be played, and the president's medal on July 31st. Following on these matches the Captain's August Medal falls on the following Saturday, Augiißt 2nd, and the Ladies' August medal on Wednesday, Angust 6th. Temporary arrangements havo been made for tho use of a club room at the sottage at the rinks. Tho front door is fitted with the losk from the pavilhon, and Shailer (caretaker) has a _oy which can be got by thoso members who have not procured key*.
